Klein to Receive Nicholas J. Horn Award from Nevada State Medical Association
The Nevada State Medical Association announced that Jeffrey Klein, FACHE, President and CEO of Nevada Senior Services has been selected to be the recipient of the 2024 NSMA Nicholas J. Horn Award. This award is the highest honor given by NSMA and is made in recognition of his decades of service to the people of Nevada and his tremendous contributions to the health and welfare of our state.
The Nevada State Medical Association recognizes a Nevadan who is not a physician for public service and contributions to the health of Nevadans.
Nicholas J. Horn died in 1992. He served medicine, and the people of Nevada as an educator, a State Senator (1983 to 1992), and as Executive Director of the Clark County Medical Society (1986 to 1992). By an action of the House of Delegates, he became the only layperson-member of the Nevada State Medical Association.
Recipients of the “NSMA Nicholas J. Horn Award” demonstrate the high standards signified by the award’s name.
The Nevada State Medical Association will present Mr. Klein with the award at the 120th Presidential Installation Dinner on Saturday, September 21st at The M Resort in Henderson, Nevada.
