Wynn Las Vegas Angels Brighten Season for Seniors at Adult Day Care Centers of Las Vegas and Henderson

Nevada Senior Services - Adult Day Care Centers of Las Vegas and Henderson - Wynn Las Vegas Angels Brighten Season for Seniors at Adult Day Care Centers of Las Vegas and Henderson

A flock of angels arrived at the Adult Day Care Centers of Las Vegas and Henderson bringing the light and warmth generated by caring people in a season that often is most difficult for seniors.  This flock of fifteen chefs and volunteers from Wynn Las Vegas staff brought a memorable gift of personal love and compassion. A holiday dinner was served by the Wynn Las Vegas Angels to the seniors. The menu, a holiday treat included turkey with all the fixin’s, short ribs and an amazing desert prepared by the world class chefs of the Wynn Las Vegas team served by Wynn staff volunteers to Center participants and their family for the occasion.  Most importantly, each of the participants at the Centers received the special gift of caring as the holiday angels shared smiles and conversation.

A 14-foot holiday tree decorated and delivered by Wynn Entertainment added to the warmth of the scene as caregivers and their loved ones posed for pictures in front it.  Two 15-foot fig trees added to the atmosphere of living.  The “holiday event”, bringing care recipients together with their family caregivers, with over 260 in attendance at both the Adult Day Care Centers of Las Vegas and Henderson, has become an annual occasion that Center participants look forward to with anticipation. Center participants reciprocated the spirit of giving by presenting handmade gifts made by the seniors at the Center along with the much treasured Nevada Senior Services “Art Calendar” to the Wynn Las Vegas volunteers.

The Centers’ clients and their families’ enjoyment during this exceptional holiday event was exceeded only by the warmth and caring of the Wynn Entertainment volunteers and chefs, making what can be a difficult season for many, a time of community and caring.

Caring is a key element in the exciting program offered to the over 300 clients served by Nevada Senior Services at both the Adult Day Care Centers of Las Vegas and Henderson. Many clients attend the Center as often as 7 days per week where they participate in activities designed to enhance wellness through socialization and recreation in an environment providing professional supervision.  The Center’s clients range from mid-twenties to ninety-nine years young. Clients span the gamut from healthy and independent to those with Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s Diseases.

The spirit of making community is emblematic of the Adult Day Care Center of Las Vegas and its
